Allen Givens

Coach

Allen’s life experience taught him that positive relationships can save a person’s life and negative relationships can destroy it. After the death of his father at the age of thirteen, Allen spun into a depression that lasted for years. The void he felt led to a slew of bad decisions. Ultimately, with help from family and mentors, he found his footing and took control of his life by removing himself from negative influences. He decided to attend college to become an Emergency Medical Technician. Eventually, he started a family. While he felt proud of his new strides, Allen knew he really wanted to be a person that helped kids who felt how he did as a young teen. After nearly a decade, he left the medical field and began working with at risk youth at a local high school. That road led him to Found Village. Allen believes he aligns with the organization's mission and vision and is eager to support young people who need a safe person in their lives.
