Ashley Felts

Youth Services Program Director

Hey, I am Ashley. At my foundation, I’m a sister, daughter, auntie, mentor and just a girl who believes deeply in the power of people and community. Professionally, I’ve spent 10+ years in education and nonprofit leadership, managing multi-million-dollar projects, building programs from the ground up, and helping organizations thrive. I’ve worked everywhere from classrooms to large school districts to national nonprofits — always asking how we can do better by the communities we serve. I've earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology at the Illustrious Hampton University, master's in Executive Leadership & Organizational Change from Northern Kentucky University, and formally trained in scrum methodologies. Along the way, I’ve learned how to turn vision into action, how to build systems that make work feel possible (instead of overwhelming), and how to keep equity and belonging at the center.

Outside of my day-to-day, I’m the founder of Girlhood Explained, an initiative that reimagines puberty outside of just being a biological shift — rather, a moment of identity, leadership, and possibility. That work keeps me grounded in why I do what I do. And because life isn’t only about work: I love to eat, travel, learn, and immerse myself in new experiences that expand my worldview. Food, culture, and adventure all fuel me — and remind me that growth happens when we step outside of what’s familiar. I’m excited to bring my passion, curiosity, and love for collaboration into this role — and to get to know the incredible people I’ll be working alongside
