Experience and Enrichment Coordinator

Corrie Silvers grew up in Maysville, KY and is married to her best friend from college and has 3 teenage boys, 2 of which she is fostering. She graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation and a minor in Health. After graduation, Corrie began her career with the YMCA as a Youth and Family Life Director where she organized and managed summer camps, teen leadership programs, before and after school clubs and youth sports.

After a 10 year career with the YMCA, Corrie relocated to Charleston, SC where she opened and operated her own business, Teacups and Trucks, an event planning and program business for children. As a successful entrepreneur, she has enjoyed providing professional development training to regional and citywide recreation department leaders on how to best engage youth and teens in educational and social settings.

Corrie has always had a passion for working with at risk youth. As a foster mother to teenage boys, she recognizes the value of consistent love and support by an adult who believes in them and helps them to achieve their dreams. In her position at The Found Village, Corrie will be able to bridge her passion for creating fun spaces and experiences with youth that are the most dear to her heart.
