Niro Wijesooriya brings both legal expertise and deep compassion to his role on the Found Village board. As an attorney with more than 15 years of experience in civil and criminal law, Niro ensures that young people facing legal challenges have a trusted advocate in their corner. He helps youth understand their rights, navigate the court system, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Niro began his career as an Assistant Prosecutor for the City of Cincinnati and later represented public sector unions, private employees, and individuals in a wide range of employment and civil matters. He now runs his own legal practice and continues to advocate for fairness and dignity—in and outside the courtroom.
Beyond his legal work, Niro is deeply committed to serving his community. He has volunteered with several organizations focused on expanding access and opportunity for under-resourced youth. In his free time, you’ll find him running, playing soccer, tennis, or squash, or spending time with his wife and two children. A lover of global cultures, Niro has lived on four continents and enjoys international travel.
At Found Village, Niro leads with empathy, experience, and a belief that every young person deserves a strong support system and a second chance.
