Shana Cronican is an independently Licensed Social Worker with supervisor designation with primary focus and expertise on the effects of complex trauma, adverse childhood experiences, gender-based violence and the mind/body effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Shana received a master’s degree in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies from the University of Cincinnati and operates through an inclusive, feminist and social justice lens in both individual and community advocacy. Shana also completed a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Cincinnati with a dual focus on administration (systematic change) and clinical assessment. Prior to joining the Found Village team; Shana worked at the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati and Women Helping Women empowering survivors of trauma, violence and abuse. She also has clinical therapeutic experience in a private practice setting. She is a certified Risking Connection trainer, Beyond Equity facilitator and holds Trauma Response Certification from the Tri-State Trauma Network. Shana is passionate and driven to impact individual and community change for individuals effected by trauma throughout the life span through a person centered, strengths based and holistic lens. Shana is grateful to join the Found Village team and to advocate and empower young people and grow and build with Found Village.
Shana resides with her husband, Dan and two children, Ambrose (14) and Annabelle (12) and five loving pets; dogs, Sugar (10), Rider (4) and Josie (2) and cats; China Cat (8) and Trip (1). She loves live music, all animals and watching her children play soccer.
